Two men arrested in connection to Plainville home invasion at one of the men’s ex-girlfriend’s home Sunday morning

A man and his friend were arrested in connection to a Plainville home invasion and assault after police say they broke into the apartment of an ex-girlfriend Sunday morning.

Jonathan Doyle, 26, was charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree assault, home invasion, disorderly conduct and second-degree illegal damage to property. His friend, Chibuikem Onyebuci, 30, of Newington, was arrested on similar charges, including conspiracies to burglary, home invasion, and assault. Doyle was also charged with second-degree strangulation in connection to the incident.

Around 1:50 a.m., a neighbor called police saying he could hear screaming and yelling from a nearby apartment on Maple Street.
