Two injured in Route 2 wreck in Glastonbury

Two people were injured when the pickup they were in went off the highway in Glastonbury and rolled over early Thursday.

The crash happened about 3:20 a.m. on Route 2 west, between exits 10 and 8, fire officials said. The truck rolled, trapping its occupants. Firefighters freed the driver and passenger.

A picture the Glastonbury Fire Department posted on Instagram appears to show that the body of the pickup became separated from its frame.

Crews were still trying to remove the wreckage at 7:30 a.m., a state trooper said, and the right lane for westbound traffic was closed.
