Trucker gets ticket after fiery rollover crash that shut down I-84 in Southbury and Newtown

A truck driver who survived a fiery crash that closed I-84 in Southbury and Newtown in both directions Tuesday has been ticketed for not staying in his lane, state police said.

This is the scene of a fiery tractor trailer crash in Southbury Tuesday that forced the closure of I-84 in both directions. No one was injured, state police say.

Heriberto Martin-Cabrera, 58, of Trinity, N.C., also was cited for operating with an unsecured load. He didn’t appear to be injured in the crash, troopers said.
