UNCASVILLE – After the regular-season finale on Sept. 13, there will be no debate about how these early-season injuries impacted the Connecticut Sun. Everyone will know; either the Sun will head to the Eastern Conference semifinals or home to face another unsettling offseason.
On opening night of the 2015 season against the Washington Mystics, a positive vibe resonated even though the injury list expanded again when it was announced Chiney Ogwumike, the 2014 rookie of the year, would also miss the season following knee surgery.
"I trust in my doctor," Ogwumike said.
The Sun trust they will survive her loss.
