HARTFORD — Stop & Shop donated 1,000 turkeys to Foodshare Tuesday as families in the Hartford area continue to struggle with food insecurity during the pandemic.
“This is terrific, this is great,” said Jason Jakubowski, President & CEO of Foodshare during a ceremony at the Stop & Shop on New Park Avenue. “Stop & Shop is our largest donor both in terms of money and in terms of product. We’re always happy to be able to work with them…These thousand turkeys are going to go a long way to helping us meet our goal of 20,158 turkeys, that is what we are going to need before Thanksgiving.
