State Police are searching Osbornedale State Park, Derby for 23-year Peter Manfredonia, the UConn senior suspected in the killing of a 62-year-old man in Willington on Friday.
Police tweeted at 9 a.m. to “expect to see a heavy police presence in the area.Do approach, call 9-1-1 immediately if you see the individual." The park is closed to the public while the investigation in ongoing.
Derby Police said Sunday are investigating a minor one car crash on Hawthorne Avenue that is believed to be associated with Manfredonia.
Manfredonia was seen leaving the scene of the slaying and assault on Mirtl Road, police said.
