Someone died in a crash on I-84 in East Hartford that brought traffic to a halt early Monday, state police said.
The crash happened about 4 a.m. in the west lanes of the highway near Exit 58, they said. The highway initially was closed, but by 8:30 a.m. all lanes but one had reopened.
A state Department of Transportation alert said a tractor trailer and a car were involved in the crash. The state police were unable to confirm that Monday morning.
