Connecticut State Police are asking for witnesses to come forward regarding a fatal accident near Litchfield Turnpike in Washington (CT) Sunday afternoon.
A Subaru Forester was traveling westbound on the road when it “veered left for [an] unknown reason into oncoming traffic,” police said. The car “sideswiped” a Mercedes Benz then “continued traveling westbound for approximately 100 feet,” hitting a second car head-on, police added.
The two people in the Mercedes reported no injuries, but the car involved in the head-on collision transported three passengers, including two children between the ages of 9 and 11, to Danbury Hospital for further evaluation of “suspected minor injuries”.
