Southington police are searching for a suspect in connection with a shooting on Rethal Street on Saturday night.
Police describe the suspect as a 5-foot-7 male with short hair, who fled the scene wearing dark clothes, long sleeves, in a dark blue Chevrolet Impala.
Officers responded to the scene at approximately 10:37 p.m. Saturday and were met by residents of the surrounding homes who told them the location of the shooting. The victim was taken by residents of the home to Bristol Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound in his calf.
According to police, there was a conversation outside the home and as several residents moved to enter, they heard a gunshot and found the victim in the driveway.
