Two people are under arrest and two are on the run after a wild, late-night chase through Hartford-area towns during which the occupants of a stolen Jeep fired at an officer, police said Wednesday.
The pursuit u2015 in which at least five police agencies were involved u2015 ended with a crash in Hartford. No one was injured, police said.
According to police, it all started some time before 10:30 p.m., when a Cromwell officer was driving in Rocky Hill. The officer spotted a Jeep he knew to be stolen from Bloomfield and began following it. But someone in the vehicle fired shots at him, and he lost track of the Jeep in Wethersfield.
