A shooting at Buggy Bath Car Wash on Homestead Ave. sent two victims to St. Francis Hospital Sunday morning, where one, Jassmin Lewis of East Hartford, has died and the other (a man whose identity has not been released) is in critical condition.
The Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene divisions responded to the shooting at around 1:57 a.m., using a ShotSpotter gunshot location system. The two victims were found at the scene and brought to the hospital. Lewis died from her injuries “a short time later,” according to the police report. The male victim had to undergo emergency surgery.
