A 19-year-old is dead after a daylight shooting in Hartford’s Southwest neighborhood Monday, police said.
The shooting happened about 3:45 p.m. near 152 Amherst St., near Goodwin Park and the Wethersfield line. Makhi Buckly of Westland Street had been shot more than once, according to police. He was taken to Hartford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The department’s Major Crime and Crime Scene divisions are investigating. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the tip line at 860-722-8477 (TIPS).
