A shooting at a large gathering in Hartford Saturday night sparked a police investigation -- and a referral to city inspectors for potential violations of Connecticut COVID-19 restrictions.

After a report of a shooting, police went to the Sevyn Jreams Studio, a venue near the corner of Main Street and Tower Ave. at 11:12 p.m., Hartford Police spokesman Aaron Boisvert said. A woman, who was not identified, was found with a non-life-threatening injuries and taken to Hartford Hospital.

“Upon arrival, approximately 200 people were frantically exiting the business … as well as the parking lot area,” the police report states.
