A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect through 6 p.m. for northernmost parts of Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties as storms tear across Connecticut and Massachusetts.
The storm may bring 60 mph wind gusts that could damage trees and power lines and some small hail, according to the National Weather Service.
