The east lanes of I-84 in Vernon are shut down because of a crash involving as many as three tractor trailers.
The highway is closed between exits 64-66, the state Department of Transportation said. The DOT said it became aware of the crash shortly after 7 a.m.
The crash sparked a fire; at 7:30 a.m., a large plume of smoke could still be seen rising above the highway.
