Reward offered in 2019 Hamden homicide, police say

A $25,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person who fatally shot a 21-year-old Hamden man on his way home from work in 2019, police said Tuesday.

Gov. Ned Lamont approved the reward last month, roughly a year after the Dec. 8, 2019 death of Dennis Allen-Paige, Capt. Ronald Smith said.

Shortly before 12:30 a.m. that morning, Allen-Paige was walking home from work when several people approached, apparently in hopes of robbing him. Someone shot him in the upper back as he fled the unidentified male robbers, Smith said.
