According to the New Haven Register’s Dave Borges, the UConn Huskies men’s basketball team will be playing in some marquee early-season tournaments for the first few years of the Dan Hurley era.
In Borges’ article from Monday, he reports that the Huskies will play in the Charleston Classic, an ESPN-sponsored event, in 2019. Right now, Borges mentions Florida as a possible opponent in the field, but we should know more about the eight-team 2019 field in the next few weeks.
On top of this, Borges mentioned that the Huskies are likely to have a spot in Nike’s PK85 tournament in 2022.
