Quinnipiac student’s neck cut in attack by roommate, Hamden police say

HAMDEN — A Quinnipiac student reportedly attacked their sleeping roommate early Friday morning, leaving him with a knife wound to the neck, police say.

Hamden police responded to the campus at about 3:10 a.m. for a possible fight between two roommates. They say they found a 20-year-old student with a large cut on his neck, who told officers that while he was asleep, his roommate jumped on top of him and began punching him in the face.

Together with Quinnipiac University Public Safety, an officer was “able to negotiate with the roommate and take possession of the knife,” Hamden police Capt.
