Police: Two injured in Middletown house explosion have died

Two people injured in an explosion that leveled a home in Middletown last week and sparked a raging fire have died, police said Thursday.

The two people, who were not identified, lived in the home at 1622 Saybrook Road, according to a Middletown Police Department news release. Two others were injured.

Police said they were looking for pictures and video that may have recorded the fire that began around 6:15 a.m. on May 29 to aid in their investigation.
