A Cromwell man was assaulted early Sunday morning as his car was stolen. Police were looking for the attacker.
Cromwell police responded to a 911 call at 2:57 a.m. Sunday. The victim was treated for injuries and sent to a local hospital. The victim told police the attacker was approximately 30 years old, a male with olive complexion, bald head, no facial hair, with possibly brown eyes. He was wearing a dark blue track suit with light blue stripes on the arm.
According to police, the suspect had a knife and demanded money from the victim, and an altercation took place inside the vehicle.
