Police said they are trying to find out who killed a woman and left her in her Stamford apartment.

Officers went to the first-floor apartment Friday to check on Denise McLaughlin, 50, police said. Her friends had become concerned after trying to call her for several days without being able to reach her.

Police went to her Manor Street apartment and found her dead. They determined her death was a homicide but didn’t say how she died.

Investigators ask that anyone with information that may help then call the Stamford Police Department Major Crime Squad at 203-977-4417 or dispatch at 203-977-4444.
