Police confiscate seven pounds of marijuana in Meriden

Police said they seized seven pounds of marijuana from a Meriden home Thursday and arrested two residents.

Caz Alicea, 31 , and Emilio Mercado, 27, both of 371 Colony St., were charged with operating a drug factory and possession with intent to sell, police said.

Alicea also was charged with criminal possession of ammunition, violation of a protective order and interfering with police, they said.
