AVON — Police on Saturday evening arrested a 17-year-old who they suspect shot a 20-year-old during a drug sale in Avon, police said in a release.
The 20-year-old man was taken to Hartford’s Saint Francis Hospital to be treated for his non-life threatening injuries, police said. The man was later discharged from the hospital.
During the investigation of the shooting, Canton police called in Avon and Simsbury police to assist with arresting the suspected shooter, Avon police said.
Officers from the three departments responded to a Canton home, instructed the residents of the home to come outside and then arrested the 17-year-old suspected shooter, Avon police said.
