Peter Pan bus driver charged with locking passenger in cargo compartment sues state troopers, alleging they ignored evidence that showed she was innocent

A Peter Pan Bus Lines driver charged last year with locking a passenger in the cargo compartment of her bus has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the state troopers who arrested her, charging they ignored evidence of her innocence and filed a more serious charge after she invoked her constitutional right to not give the troopers a written statement.

The lawsuit was brought by Wendy Alberty against Trooper Robert A. Hunter and Sgt. Stephen J. Samson and filed in U.S. District Court in New Haven.
