Part of I-91 south in Rocky Hill reopened after crash involving rig, two cars

Traffic on I-91 south in Rocky Hill is backed up for miles because of an earlier crash involving a tractor trailer and two cars.

The crash happened between exits 23 and 22S, the state’s transportation agency said. The extent of injuries isn’t clear.

Two left lanes were closed at 8:30 a.m., and traffic was backed up more than two miles, the Department of Transportation said. The crash scene has since been cleared.
