New London officials to release report Tuesday into fire that killed former Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh

More than two months after former Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh died from injuries suffered during a fire in a New London home, city fire officials announced they will release their report into the what caused the blaze.

Few details of the Nov. 18 fire at 500 Pequot Ave. have been released since Hsieh’s death sent a ripple through the highest levels of the tech world.

Hsieh, who left the massive online apparel retailer earlier in 2020, was reportedly with his brother in Connecticut at the time of the fire, and died more than a week later at Bridgeport Hospital, home of the Connecticut Burn Center.
