New Haven police were investigating two shootings Tuesday evening that sent victims to the hospital.
The first shooting was reported about 6:05 p.m Munson Street near Sherman Parkway in the Dixwell neighborhood of the city, police said. The victim was taken to a city hospital, but police did not immediately release his condition.
About an hour later, officers were dispatched to Ferry Street near Fox Street in the Fair Haven neighborhood. A person was taken by ambulance to the hospital, but the extent of the injuries was not immediately known.
