BERLIN — A 41-year-old New Britain man died in a one-car crash on Route 9 in Berlin early Sunday morning, Connecticut state police said.
The driver, identified as Ahmed Durrant of Allen Street in New Britain, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban southbound on the highway when the accident occurred. He lost control of the car “for an unknown reason’' and veered from the roadway before striking the metal beam guide rails on both the left and right sides of the highway, state police said.
The car overturned and eventually stopped in the left lane of the highway in the area north of exit 23.
