Connecticut public defenders will host two more outdoor application events Thursday and Friday to give prospective clients another chance to apply for their services while court services remain limited during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The next events will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the first on Thursday outside Hartford Superior Court at 101 Layfayette St. in the capital and the second on Friday outside at New Haven Superior Court at 121 Elm St. in that city.
Public defenders have hosted similar events outside courthouses statewide this month to help provide more access for people with pending cases to apply for representation even while most in-person court services and hearings are impacted by pandemic closures.
