Western District Major Crimes detectives with the Connecticut State Police are headed to the area of the Berlin Turnpike to “assist in an active and ongoing investigation,” troopers said in a tweet late Friday morning.
Detectives of the CSP- WDMCS will be in the area of the Berlin Turnpike in the City of Meriden to assist in an active and ongoing investigation. Expect heavy police activity in the area.

Troopers didn’t elaborate on the nature of the investigation, and Meriden police did not respond to requests for information.
