The crash happened shortly before 3:10 p.m. near the intersection of Tolland Stage Road, or Route 74, and Burbank Road, they said. Steven Robert Carr was headed east on a 2015 Suzuki GSX-R600 when he crossed the double yellow line on a sharp curve to the right and lost control of the motorcycle.

Carr, of Zinfandel Circle in Tolland, was taken to Rockville General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
