A motorcyclist died and his passenger was seriously injured in a crash in Ashford Saturday, state police said.
The two-vehicle crash happened outside the Cumberland Farms gas station on 33 Pompey Hollow Road or Route 44. John Wade Jr., 32, of the Dayville section of Killingly, was taken to Windham Hospital, where he later was pronounced dead, according to police.
His passenger, Taylor Brooke Lee, 27, of the Danielson section of Killingly, was airlifted to Hartford Hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries, they said.
