More than 1.5 pounds of cocaine seized from Enfield home during drug bust, police say

Enfield police said they arrested a local man on drug charges after they and members of the DEA and Springfield police found more than 1½ pounds of cocaine in his home Tuesday during a dawn raid.

Christopher M. Jenkins, 48, of 100 Tariff St. was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. His bail was set at $250,000.

Police said they seized 830 grams of crack cocaine and powder cocaine – or 1.8 pounds -- from the home. Some of the drugs were packaged for sale, they said.
