A Moosup man caught intentionally setting a fire at an abandoned home in May has confessed to two other arsons in the summers of 2016 and 2017, police announced Thursday night.

Roland Bourque III, 29, was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree arson in a pair of arrest warrants stemming from his confessions earlier in the year, Plainfield police said.

Bourque was first arrested May 2 when he was taken into custody after being caught in the act of setting a fire at an abandoned home on Prospect Street, police said.

That day Bourque admitted to officers that he had set previous fires on South Main Street in June 2016 and another on Roy Street in August 2017, police said.
