Montville man charged with hate crime after road rage incident Tuesday evening

NEW LONDON — A 58-year-old Montville man was arrested after police say a road rage incident resulted in the man pulling out a knife and yelling racial slurs at another individual Tuesday evening.

Tracy Delillo, 58, was charged with second-degree intimidation based on bigotry or bias, second-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace and carrying a dangerous weapon.

“It was reported that there was a road rage incident that resulted in both vehicles pulling into a parking lot,” New London police said. “Further reported that one of the operators exited his vehicle and began yelling threatening language, obscenities and racial slurs at the other operator while displaying a large knife.
