Police said they are trying to find out who threw a Molotov cocktail at a police substation in New Haven.

There were no reports of injuries from the attempted arson, which police said happened at the building at 596 Winchester Ave. shortly after 2 a.m.

They did not say whether the person who tossed the flammable liquid was believed to be a protester. New Haven was one of several cities in the state that was the scene of police brutality protests over the weekend following the death of George Lloyd a week ago in Minneapolis. Some protesters tried to get into police headquarters.
