Missing woman with Alzheimers dies after being found unresponsive, Bridgeport police say

A missing woman with Alzheimers died Sunday after being found unresponsive a week to the day she disappeared, Bridgeport police said.

Teresa Zangrilli, 84, was about 1.5 miles from where she was last seen, the Price Rite supermarket at 4425 Main St., said Scott Appleby, emergency services spokesman.

A Bridgeport bicyclist who volunteered to search for Zangrilli found her about 11:30 a.m. in a patch of woods behind an office building at 12 Cambridge Drive in Trumbull, Scott Appleby said. The building is in an office park on the Trumbull line, near Old Town, Chopsey Hill and Red Oak roads.
