A convicted child abuser who assaulted a newborn in 2017 has again been arrested in an attack on a baby, Middletown police said.
Luis Gabriel Krom, 25, of Hillside Court in Middletown was arrested Monday on a warrant charging him with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor, first-degree reckless endangerment, they said. He was in custody Tuesday morning on $500,000 bail.
The 2-month-old girl attacked most recently is in intensive care at Connecticut Children’s suffering from bleeding on the brain and injuries that appear to from being strangled, police said. She also had injuries to her mouth and neck, scrapes on her face and bruising on her ankles.
