A Middletown bicyclist died Friday after he collided with a stopped dump truck on Randolph Road, police said.
Louis Petruzzello, 64, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Middlesex Hospital, where he later died, Sgt. Doug Clark said.
The crash happened just after 10:45 a.m. Friday when police were notified of a crash between a dump truck and a bicyclist at Randolph and Milbrook roads, Clark said.
Investigators determined Petruzzello was riding north on Milbrook when he came upon the truck, which stopped at the intersection in the same Milbrook northbound lane, Clark said.
