Middlesex Health loosens hospital visitor restrictions as Connecticut’s coronavirus metrics improve

Middlesex Health has loosened visitor restrictions for patients undergoing surgery or who are hospitalized, the hospital system announced Tuesday.

Individuals are now permitted to have a designated visitor at any of its three emergency locations between 10 a.m., through 4 p.m., on weekdays and until 3 p.m. on weekends. Visitors are allowed to stay until 7:30 p.m. if they arrive during the allotted times above, the hospital system said.

“We are pleased that we can, once again, safely open our doors to a limited number of visitors,” Middlesex Health President and CEO Vincent G. Capece, Jr., said.
