The Metropolitan District is warning customers to beware of imposters after a person posing as a water worker tried to get into a Hartford home.
The incident happened Monday, the MDC said. No details about the attempted burglary was available from MDC or police Tuesday morning.
“The MDC urges all residents, especially those who are home during the day, to be alert for imposters,” the district said in a press release Monday. In order to prevent future incidents, the MDC wants customers to know that:
- They should stay, securely, inside their homes while asking for identification from anyone who comes to their door.
