A 27-year-old driver died when his truck went off the road and struck a tree in Woodstock late Sunday night, state police said.
Bryan Madden of Hudson, Mass. was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened shortly before 11:10 p.m. on Route 197, they said.
According to the state police, he was headed west in a Ford pickup when the truck went over the center line on a curve. The truck crossed the lane for eastbound traffic, hit a tree at the side of the road and caught fire with Madden trapped inside, they said.
