More than six months after a deadly, one-car crash in Winchester, a man who police had thought was the passenger is believed to have been the driver who caused the wreck.

Alec Cleveland, who was 25 and living on Platt Hill Road in Winchester at the time, now faces DUI and manslaughter charges, among others, court documents show.

Cleveland was charged April 7 with second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, failure to drive to the right and failure to have seat belts in a motor vehicle, the judicial records show.
