A man was shot in the stomach in Middletown over the weekend, police said, one of a string of violent crimes in the city in recent weeks.
The shooting happened about 10:40 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Traverse Square, public housing in the city’s south end. When officers arrived at the scene, the victim was gone.
Police continue to investigate the shooting. Anyone who saw it or has information that may help investigators is asked to call Det. N. Peck of the department’s Street Crime Unit at 860-638-4063.
The shooting is one of a few incidents of violence in recent weeks.
