Man shared child porn on social media, Naugatuck police say

Michael Santos, 48, of Auburn Street was arrested on a warrant Tuesday and charged with second-degree possession of child pornography. He posted $7,500 bail and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Waterbury on June 10, police said.

Members of the department’s youth bureau learned in October that Santos might have been sharing child pornography on different social media platforms, police said. They began investigating and had enough information to pursue a warrant for his arrest.

Second-degree possession of child pornography is a Class C felony. It is punishable by at least two years in prison.
