A Putnam man died when his motorcycle and a minivan collided in Canterbury Thursday, state police said.
The crash happened shortly before 3:15 p.m. on Route 14, where Christopher Cournoyer, 50, was headed west with a rider, Lena Cournoyer, 53, police said.
He lost control of his 2005 Harley Davidson, and the motorcycle skidded into the lane for eastbound traffic, where it was struck by a 2011 Toyota Sienna driven by Shane Albert Belliveau, 39, of Windham, state police said.
Christopher Cournoyer died, they said. Lena Cournoyer was taken to Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam to be treated for injuries that police said seemed minor.
