A 20-year-old died late Sunday when the car he was driving struck a tree in Suffield, police said.
The one-crash happened shortly before 11 p.m. near 128 Hickory St., in the northern part of town near the Massachusetts line. First responders found the driver, Peter Decasperis, outside the car with severe injuries. He died at the scene, police said.
Police continue to investigate what caused the crash. Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call the Suffield Police Department at 860-668-3870 and ask to speak with Sgt. Justin Nelson.
