UConn women’s basketball sophomore Lexi Gordon has decided to transfer, the school announced Thursday.
“Lexi has been a great teammate in her time at UConn, but we understand that she wants to go somewhere where she will have more opportunities to play,” head coach Geno Auriemma said in a release. “We wish Lex and her family the best as she continues her college career elsewhere.”
Gordon rarely saw playing time for the Huskies, seeing action in just 30 games. She played double-double minutes just three times in her career and never scored more than 4 points. This season, she’s played in just 4 of 8 games, totaling 10 minutes.
