A tractor trailer fire has shut down the north lanes of I-95 in Stratford, the state’s transportation agency said.
The highway is closed between exits 32 and 33. The fire was sparked by a crash, the Department of Transportation said.
The DOT was alerted to the fire at 6:38 a.m. Traffic cameras showed what appeared to be heavy flames taking up most lanes of the highway. Thick smoke still rose from the truck at 7:10 a.m.
