Juan Rosario is UConn’s third St. Luke’s recruit

National Signing Day is very much in the rear-view mirror, but head coach Randy Edsall continues to add to the UConn football 2019 recruiting class. On Wednesday, cornerback Juan Rosario committed to the Huskies as a preferred walk-on, becoming the third Connecticut kid in the 2019 recruiting class.

The Stamford native played at St. Lukes, the same high school as former UConn great Noel Thomas Jr, and current Husky Omar Fortt. As a senior captain, Rosario logged five passes defensed. St. Lukes now boasts three Huskies, with Rosario Fortt and lineman Brendan Casey.

Rosario will join an overhauled defense that brings in 11 new players, including two other freshman cornerbacks.
